While the Flat Trim can be used for a variety of applications, David also gives his expertise on some of the best methods to terminate an open run or transition a 90 degree angle.
Profile Trim
Depending on the area specifications and materials, a Schluter-style profile trim is one of the most common ways to create a thin border around tile edges, especially for ceramic and stone tiles.
Outside Miters
Miters allow two outside tiles to create a 90 degree angle by cutting a 45 degree angle on the edge of two tiles. While this can only be achieved with two factory edges, it does create the sharp corners that many designers desire.
Butt Joint
The butt joint solution is a wonderful method for Island Stone glass tiles since our specialized technique ensures that color can be seen from the side of the tile. Butt joints create a corner by two tiles “butting up” against each other, creating a small grout joint.
